The face is the first thing we recognise about someone. We are the sum of all the same features and as a portrait artist, I am fascinated with how these are knitted together to make us individual.
The process of painting, embodies a huge part of myself. Time spent, individual brush strokes and my own interpretation are there for the viewer to share, allowing them time to reflect and study the work in depth.
Realism is a philosophy opposed to style and I observe and record as accurately as possible.
